Research Interests

• Strategies to combine nuclear medicine for imaging/therapy and track in-vivo responses using optoacoustics
• Synthesis of molecules/peptides as tumor-targeting agents
• Optoacoustic imaging to assess pathophysiological signatures of cancer

Research Description

My lab is evaluating new probes and strategies for combining radioligand and optoacoustic tools to study cancers. My main focus is to selectively label malignant growths in vivo to allow for their detection, treatment, and removal. Our goal is to be able to map out and observe imaging/therapeutic response via optoacoustics, which will ultimately benefit patients for early detection of cancer and non-invasive monitoring.
